Our online career training programs are possible through Coastal Bend College partnership with Workforce Training Academy, an Austin-based training and career development company. For several years, Workforce Training Academy has offered the best training courses with their unique licensing and skilled trades career program.

What kind of training programs do you offer?

We offer different types of licensing and skilled trades career program for immersive, standard, and self-paced learning tracks

Do I have to stop working or studying if I join thew program?

No, our flexible training hours allow you to easily balance academic and professional priorities with the program.

How many mentoring sessions are there?

Self-paced programs offer five, 30-minute on-demand mentoring sessions. Standard programs offer 1 hour mentoring sessions once a week, and immersive bootcamps offer 1 hour mentoring sessions twice a week.

Do you offer career counseling?

Yes, our career counselors will help you with resume building, mock interviews, and internship/job opportunities.

What is the refund policy?

In order to cancel enrollment and apply for a refund, you must notify a financial counselor and admission advisor in writing through an email. You will only receive a full tuition refund up to 7 days before the course start date. Deposits are non-refundable 6 days or fewer before the course start date. Once the course start date passes, you will be responsible for all tuition fees.

Are there any prerequisites?

Recommended prerequisites vary based on the program, but most commonly are basic MS Office skills.

Can I get a job in Licensing and Skilled Trades after graduating the program?

Yes, our program prepares you for an entry-level job through our job placement services that can also help you find a job!

How much does the program cost?

All programs have different tuition costs, depending on the type of program and learning track. All costs are listed on the program pages.

How long does the program take to complete?

Self-paced programs allow students to complete the program according to their own pace and schedule. The duration of Skilled Trades programs depends on the program and learning track.

Do you offer scholarships?

Yes! We offer merit-based scholarships through WorkForce Training Academy. Each application will be reviewed independently through our dedicated team at WorkForce Training Academy. Scholarships are not offered through Coastal Bend College.
